The car dealer wanted to develop its charging infrastructure for e-mobility but lacked the appropriate grid connection power. The dealership’s planned e-charging infrastructure with a total of eight charging stations, including a 50 kW DC fast charging station, consumes approx. 193 kW when all stations are used simultaneously under full power. Unfortunately, the existing power connection can only serve a maximum output of 150 kW. Instead of expanding the commercial power supply, the car dealer invested in a modern and sustainable PV system. Besides the PV system of 167 kWp, the plant includes a storage system with an output of 88kW and a capacity of 131 kWh including an energy management system (EMS). The aim is to enable the supply of all applications constantly and to avoid an overload of the grid connection.

This is a forward-looking project and an excellent example of how sector coupling (the combination of electricity and mobility) can work in the commercial sector. The energy solution enables a secure, independent and all-round economical energy supply both for the charging stations and for the entire operation. This is forward-looking, exemplary and an excellent model for other car dealerships as well.

Investment in a sustainable future https://theanswerissolar.com/investment-in-a-sustainable-future/ https://theanswerissolar.com/investment-in-a-sustainable-future/#respond Thu, 09 Mar 2023 09:47:13 +0000 https://theanswerissolar.com/?p=1693 Today we are introducing a way for local citizens to participate in our solar parks. For this purpose, we have launched our own digital platform. Interested citizens can use this platform to find out about current projects and their conditions and to participate directly. Investment with smaller amounts is also possible. This ensures that everyone can play an active role in shaping the energy transition.

“Energy transition also belongs in the hands of residents. We have been of this opinion from the very beginning. People actually want to contribute to the generation of clean energy. If this is not possible with their own solar system on the roof, participation in solar parks offers a good alternative,” explains .

Two new solar parks are connected https://theanswerissolar.com/two-new-solar-parks-are-connected-to-the-hungarian-grid/ https://theanswerissolar.com/two-new-solar-parks-are-connected-to-the-hungarian-grid/#respond Thu, 09 Mar 2023 09:45:15 +0000 https://theanswerissolar.com/?p=1690 Renewable energies account for an increasing share of Hungary’s energy supply since 2020, and photovoltaics is gaining importance in the country. With the grid connection of the two solar parks in Gerjen and Söjtör with nominal power outputs of 51 and 45 megawatt peak (MWp), another milestone for the energy transition in Hungary has been achieved.

The construction of the solar parks in the Hungarian municipalities began in March 2022 with the contract signing between SOLAR Energy and MET Group. In the two most recent joint projects with MET Group, we were not only responsible for engineering and the procurement of components, but also for the construction (EPC: Engineering, Procurement and Construction) of the solar parks. After completion of the construction work, both solar parks have been commissioned in several phases since January 2023.
